Today we are going to learn the definite articles in Spanish.  Hoy aprenderemos los artículos definidos en español.  Definite articles are used to talk about specific nouns. In Spanish, nouns are often accompanied by articles. Spanish articles indicate: the word's gender (masculine or feminine ) the word's number (singular or plural )   In English the definite article is the word "the" regardless of wheter the noun it introduces is singular or plural. But in Spanish there are four forms: el, la, los, las, depending on wheter the noun is masculine, feminine, singular or plural. El: is used with masculine singular nouns La: is used with feminine singular nouns Los: is used with masculine plural nouns Las: is used with feminine plural nouns.
