Today we are going to learn how to Spell Names in Spanish. 

Hoy aprenderemos a deletrear los nombres en español. 

The english verb "to spell" can be translated into Spanish as Escribir and Deletrear.

Note that "escribir" also means in english "to write"

       How do you Spell your name?
       ¿Cómo se deletrea tu nombre?
       ¿Cómo se escribe tu nombre?

       How do you Spell Carmen?
       ¿Cómo se deletrea Carmen?
       ¿Cómo se escribe Carmen?

       It is spelt like this
       Se deletrea así:
       C - A - R - M - E - N 

       Can you spell your name for me, please?
       Puede deletrearme su nombre, por favor?

       When talking with people your age (informal situations) you may say this:

       Roberto, how do you spell your name?
       Roberto, ¿cómo se escribe tu nombre?

       But in formal conversations (a polite way of asking someone to spell his name) 
       you may say this:

       Mr. Roberto, how do you spell your name?
       Sr. Roberto, ¿cómo se escribe su nombre?

       Note: Sr. is the abbreviation of Señor.

       Norma: Hola, me llamo Norma. ¿Cómo te llamas?

                    Hello, My name is Norma. What's your name?
       
       Emilia: Hola, Norma. Me llamo Emilia. ¿cómo se escribe Norma?

                    Hello, Norma. My name is Emilia. How do you spell Norma?

       Norma: Se escribe N - O - R - M - A. ¿Qué tal?

                     It is spelt N - O - R - M - A. How are you?
       
       Emilia: Bien. ¿Y tú?

                    Fine. And you?

       Norma: Fenomenal, gracias.
      
                    Great, thank you.

       Emilia: ¡Qué fantástico! Adiós. Norma.

Today's lesson is about Spanish Subject Pronouns. La lección de hoy trata sobre los pronombres personales en español. A subject pronoun is a word   that takes the place of a noun as the subject of a sentence. For the plural pronouns, if the group referred to is all male, use the masculine ending: nosotros / ellos. If it is a mix of male and female, use the masculine ending too: nosotros / ellos If it is all female, use the feminine ending: nosotras / ellas. Juan, Pedro y Ana escuchan música. Today we are going to learn how to make Spanish nouns plural. Just as in English, in Spanish there are nouns that name one thing (singular nouns), and nouns that name more than one thing (plural nouns) To make a singular noun plural, all you need to do is to look at the last letter in the word. Why? Because, Spanish singular to plural are formed by adding specific ends to the nouns. So, in this lesson you will find the basic rules for making nouns plural in Spanish. If the word ends in a vowel (a,e,i,o,u), just add the letter "s" at the end of the word. For nouns that end in these specific stressed vowels: í and ú we may add both "es" or "s" If the word ends in a consonant we must add "es" at the end of the word to make it plural. Today we are going to learn the differences between the Spanish Verbs: Ser and Estar. In Spanish, there are  two words equivalent to the English verb ‘to be’: ‘ ser ’ and ‘ estar ’.
